cePCD is a comprehensive ceRNA mediated pathway crosstalk database of human cardiovascular diseases.
Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs), a leading cause of death, encompass more than 10 subtypes. Studies have demonstrated that pathway crosstalks were involved in a lot of the processes of CVDs. However, ceRNA mediated pathway crosstalks were unclear in CVDs. cePCD is a freely available database that designed for investigating ceRNA mediated pathway crosstalks across eight major cardiovascular diseases from over 2,800 samples.
cePCD curated more than ~390,000 ceRNA crosstalks and ~50,000 pathway crosstalks that occurred in eight diseases, including coronary artery disease (CAD), hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM), ischemic cardiomyopathy (ICM), heart failure (HF), myocardial infarction (MI), pulmonary hypertension (PAH) and congenital heart disease (CHD).
cePCD offers Browse, Search and Download function for users.
Browse
In the Browse page, users can quickly search pathway crosstalks by “Disease names”, “GSE number” and “Data source”. In the interactive result table, users can find the detailed information of each pathway crosstalks. cePCD provides ceRNA pairs numbers, permutation P-values, disease numbers, datasets numbers and pathway sources information. Furthermore, users can click the “Pathway crosstalk ID” to view the comprehensive annotation information of pathway ID.
In the pathway crosstalk detailed page, cePCD provides detailed ceRNA crosstalks that mediate pathway crosstalk, such as ceRNA expression heatmap and crosstalk network visualization. Furthermore, cePCD also provides annotation information for ceRNA crosstalks. Users can view the strength (Pearson correlation coefficients and hypergeometic test significances) and regulators (miRNAs) of ceRNA crosstalks in the interactive tables.
Search
cePCD provides three types of search for users as follows: “Search pathways by disease”, “Search pathways by gene” and “Search pathways by Data source”. cePCD will respond quickly and display the search contents. In the result table, user can view the detailed information as “Browse” page.
Download
cePCD provides two types of results for user to download. Users can download pathway-pathway interaction results and ceRNA crosstalks in 21 datasets from this page.
